Heading to the Skyline

At that time, the Hakka ancestors "rode sail" from the sea to the beautiful Formosa, and emerged as a huge supporting force of Taiwan society. Airplanes and flying into the sky represent modern technology as well as one of the most important transportations for contemporary people to break the distance in the world. This symbolizes the pursuit and exploration spirit of human beings, and also show the progress and breakthrough of technology. The piece of artwork depicts the dream and courage of human beings with the freely flight of an airplane. It creates a new voyager’s spirit full of imagination and creativity, and through images, colors, materials and techniques the pursuit of flying and homage for Hakka culture are both well-expressed.

Ning Huang

Huang Ning graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at the Taiwan National University of Arts and also holds a degree from the Institute of Art Design at National Hsinchu University of Education. He is considered a rising star in contemporary Taiwanese art. His creative process is driven by his own emotions, and he uses time as the axis of life to explore key moments of growth and development in life through his artworks.
